Heading and clip order

Add a line of text above a widget, choose the order clips play in, and hide a widget that has too few clips.

Where to find it: open a widget and click the Heading and clips tab. On Pop up widgets the tab is called Clips and has no heading.

Heading

A short line above the widget that tells shoppers what they're looking at, like Shop the look or As seen on TikTok.

Add a heading

Open the widget and click the Heading and clips tab.

In the Heading card, type your words in Heading text, such as Shop the look. The preview shows it straight away.

Choose an Alignment, and set Text size and Text color if you want something other than the defaults. More settings appear once you've typed some text.

Click Save.

To remove the heading, empty Heading text and save.

The other settings appear once you've typed some heading text. The heading uses your theme's font. The widget's Space above the widget setting sits above it. See Size and spacing.

Text color also colours captions

Under Carousel and Grid cards, captions use the same Text color, even when the widget has no heading. On a dark background, add a heading, set Text color to a light colour, then clear the heading text again if you don't want it. The colour is kept.

Clips

Play in this order

OptionWhat shoppers see
Manual — the order of your media list (default)The order of the list on the Media tab. You can move clips up and down there. See Choose clips.
Videos first, images afterAll videos, then all images, each group in your order.
Shuffle on every visitA new random order every time the page loads.

The order applies to the thumbnails and the player. On a Pop up widget, it also decides which clip the bubble plays: the first one in this order.

When this isn't Manual, the Clips card on the Media tab shows a banner reminding you that the storefront won't follow its list.

Show only with at least

Hides the widget when it has fewer clips than this number, from 1 to 24. The default is 1. Use it so a widget doesn't look empty, for example on a product page with only one matching clip.

Only clips shoppers can see are counted, so Draft clips in your Video library don't count.

There's also a shop-wide minimum under Settings → Feeds. The higher of the two numbers applies.

Why is my widget hidden?

The editor still shows Active when a widget is hidden for having too few clips. If a widget isn't showing, check both minimums, and check whether some of its clips are Draft in your library.
