It's a shop-wide floor. Each widget also has its own minimum under Heading and clips → Show only with at least (Clips on Pop up widgets), and the higher of the two wins. For the Product page layout, the count is of the clips that match the product on the page.

Only clips that can show to shoppers are counted. A clip set to Draft in the Video library doesn't count, so a widget can drop below the minimum when you draft a clip.

The widget editor doesn't warn you when a widget falls below the minimum. It still shows Active. If a widget has gone missing from your storefront, check this number.

Next to Playback mode, choose Performance or Quality.

Click Save. You'll see Settings saved.

  • Performance plays a smaller version of each video, sized to the player, up to 720p. Videos start sooner and use less data, especially on phones.
  • Quality plays the original file you uploaded. Shoppers whose browser reports Data Saver or a very slow connection, mainly Chrome on Android, still get the smaller version.

The setting only affects videos once a shopper opens them. It doesn't change how fast your pages load: thumbnail previews and the Pop up bubble always use a small version, whichever you choose. Images are always served at the same size.

Which to choose

Leave it on Performance unless picture quality really matters for your products, for example fine textures or jewellery close-ups. Shopper-filmed video usually looks the same either way on a phone screen.
