Gift options
Let customers write a gift note or add real Shopify gift packaging to their bundle.
Gift options are separate from the free gift at a tier — a tier gift is something you give away on a bigger box; gift options are things the customer adds, on any box. Find them in the Gift options card on the Design tab.
Gift note
Open the Gift options card and tick Let shoppers write a gift note.
Set the Heading and an optional Description — for example We'll print this on a card in the box.
Set Placeholder text and a Maximum length in characters.
Set the Order property name the note is saved under, so it's easy to find on the order.
Tick Require a note before adding to cart to make it mandatory rather than optional.
Gift packaging
A real Shopify product — set its price to 0 for free packaging, or a real price to charge for it — added to the order alongside the bundle when the customer opts in.
Tick Offer gift packaging.
Click Select packaging product and choose the Shopify product that represents it.
Choose How it's added: as its own checkbox the customer ticks, or another mode the card offers.
Set the Label and optional Description — for example Hand-wrapped in recycled tissue paper.
Tick Tick the checkbox by default to make packaging opt-out instead of opt-in.
Gift packaging rides inside the bundle
Gift packaging is stamped with the same _bundle_id as the rest of the box, so it shows up grouped with it wherever you've set up order template grouping — it doesn't need separate handling there.
Style it
Appearance covers heading color, description color, background, border color and width, and checkbox color — enough to make the card match the rest of your Design tab settings.
